Men's Day 2007
What a time! What a time! What a time! The Men of God, uplifting
the name of the Lord!

Men's Day 2007 at GMNZ was filled with blessings upon blessings
upon blessings.

The Men’s Choir  ushered in the presence of the Lord and upheld
the honor of the Pastor’s well-known saying, “the Out Singingest
Choir on this side of Heaven.”  Under the direction of Sister
Peaches, they proudly marched into the congregation like they
were prepared for a victory march.  It was obvious that God’s
presence rested upon their shoulders, because songs of Zion were
coming at us from all directions.  One of the songs that they sang,
“Your Grace and Mercy”, really stirred our souls.

The Lord used Deacon Love to touch our souls by speaking on the
four pillars of a man’s heart.  He elaborated on how pillars hold up
the home.  Pastor Hardeman enhanced Deacon Love’s message by
reminding the congregation that the “old” church building had a
pillar that used to lean, and the church was tilted to one side, but
by the grace of God, GMNZ is where it is
today.

The 11:00 AM message was preached
by Rev. Dr. Kemp, who emphasized that

men should always pray.
His
message was from James 5:13-16.

13Is any among you afflicted? let him
pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14Is any sick among you? let him call
for the elders of the church; and let
them pray over him, anointing him with
oil in the name of the Lord:
15And the prayer of faith shall save the
sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;
and if he have committed sins, they
shall be forgiven him.
16Confess your faults one to another,
and pray one for another, that ye may be
healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much.
We all anticipated the
drum rolls that preceded
the announcement of
GMNZ’s Man of the Year.
Our man of the year was
Brother Clyde.

Brother Clyde humbly
accepted the honor, and
acknowledged that he is
where he is today
because of all of the
men that the Lord
placed in his life to
encourage him and
guide him in the right
direction.  Now, he says,
it is his turn to give back,
because “to whom much
is given, much is
required.”

Congratulations, Brother
Clyde.
